Fixed Term Position | Part-Time with Potential for Full-Time Growth | North Shore

Start date week of 25 May 2026
The role will initially begin at approximately 22.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 1.30pm to 6.00pm. Over time, there is strong potential for the role to grow into increased daytime and sole charge hours as Mum transitions back into work later in the year, with the possibility of becoming a full-time position for the right nanny in 2027.

This role centres around caring for twin boys, Mr A and Mr B, who are currently 8 months old, approximately 5 months corrected age. The boys were born prematurely and the family are hoping to find a calm, experienced nanny who can provide attentive and nurturing care as the role gradually grows over time.

Mr A is described as an easy-going and settled baby, while Mr B is a little more sensitive and occasionally requires extra soothing and reassurance. Both boys are progressing well developmentally and the family place strong importance on supporting milestones through floor play, tummy time, books, interaction and age-appropriate play throughout the day.
The role will initially involve working alongside Mum to support day-to-day care and routines, before gradually transitioning into more independent and sole charge care as the family’s needs evolve. Duties will include preparing bottles, supporting feeds, nappies, play, tidying shared living spaces, children’s laundry and accompanying Mum to occasional medical appointments and check-ups.

Both boys are currently tube fed and have had a more medically complex start to life, however the family are very comfortable with their routines and will provide guidance and support around all aspects of care. The family are mainly looking for someone gentle, capable and attentive who feels confident caring for young babies and managing the routines of twins.
The family also have 3 cats who mostly keep to themselves but occasionally come inside to visit.

This position will suit a nanny with strong infant experience who enjoys working closely with families and building long-term relationships over time. Someone warm, patient, organised and genuinely comfortable caring for twins will be particularly well suited to this role.
