Start date 14 July 2026 (slight flexibility for the right candidate)Hours are 7.30am to 5.00pm, 4 days per week. Exact day off is still to be confirmed but will likely be Friday.
This role centres around caring for Mr J, an active and curious almost 1 year old boy, within a warm and steady home environment. Mr J is described as highly observant, communicative and full of personality. He enjoys interaction throughout the day, loves exploring his surroundings and is beginning to show a playful sense of humour. The family are looking for a nanny who genuinely enjoys engaging with this age group and can confidently support his development through play, routine and day-to-day interaction.
The role will involve full care throughout the day including bottle feeds, supporting his transition with solids, meal preparation and planning engaging age-appropriate activities. The family value a balance of routine and exploration, with plenty of opportunities for movement, sensory play and getting out and about during the week. Mr J is currently on supplementary oxygen while he grows and develops, however he is otherwise active, mobile and meeting his developmental milestones well. The main day-to-day consideration is managing the oxygen tubing alongside his activity, so the family are looking for someone calm, confident and comfortable learning this aspect of his care. Full training and support will be provided.
Both parents work full-time with slightly staggered schedules, so there may occasionally be a parent working from home during the day.
They are hoping to find someone calm, emotionally attuned and reliable who can become a trusted and consistent part of the household over time. The family also have a friendly Golden Retriever who is very much part of daily life, so someone comfortable around dogs will be important. This role will suit a nanny who enjoys building strong relationships with children, communicates openly and brings a grounded, nurturing presence into the home.
