A warm and welcoming family in Stillwater are looking for an experienced newborn nanny to join them as they welcome their second child. This is a unique opportunity to become a long-term part of the family’s journey, supporting them through the early newborn months with the potential to continue on in a part-time capacity as their needs evolve.
The primary focus of this role will be caring for the family’s newborn son, due in late November. Their daughter, Miss A (3.5 years), attends daycare full-time and will generally only require care if she is unwell or unable to attend.
The family are looking for a calm, nurturing and confident nanny with substantial newborn experience who can provide attentive care from the very beginning. Duties will include bottle preparation, sterilising bottles, supporting breastfeeding by bringing baby to Mum for feeds, formula top-ups where required, settling, bathing, nappy changes, monitoring sleep routines and providing age-appropriate sensory and developmental play.
Around three weeks after baby’s arrival, Mum will begin working from home for a few hours each day, during which time the nanny will take sole charge of the baby. Outside of these periods, while Mum is caring for baby, the role will naturally transition into providing practical household support. This includes meal preparation, laundry, general household organisation and keeping the home running smoothly. The family have a regular cleaner, so this role is focused on day-to-day support rather than heavy cleaning. Baby will always remain the priority.
Both parents work from home from dedicated home offices and are looking for someone who will become a trusted part of their family. They value warmth, honesty and initiative, and would love to find a nanny who genuinely enjoys building long-term relationships and supporting children through their earliest stages of development.
The role will initially be full-time while baby is young. Once baby is approximately six months old and begins part-time daycare, the family anticipate reducing the role to part-time. They would love their nanny to continue with them if this arrangement suits both parties, however they completely understand if their nanny wishes to move into another full-time position at that stage.
This position will suit an experienced career nanny who is passionate about newborn care, understands infant development and enjoys balancing attentive childcare with practical support for a busy family.
