A family in Onehunga are looking for an experienced and playful nanny to spend two days a week with their daughter, Miss I (18 months). The family will be moving to their new home in Grey Lynn in February, so they are hoping to find someone comfortable continuing with them after the move and ideally becoming a long-term part of Miss I’s life over the next two to three years.
Miss I is a happy, energetic and funny little girl who loves books, drawing, chasing birds, jumping in puddles and helping with cooking. She is incredibly playful and loves being involved in whatever is happening around her, so the family are looking for someone who will genuinely get down on her level, engage with her and enjoy spending their days together.
The family value learning through everyday life and play. Miss I already enjoys plenty of reading, letters, art and time outdoors, and they would love a nanny who can bring their own ideas and experiences into her week. Whether it’s exploring nature, getting creative, reading together or involving her in simple everyday activities, the focus is on helping her learn naturally while having plenty of fun.
Dad is currently a stay-at-home parent while also project managing the family’s new house build, and Mum works in a busy role. Having a nanny for two days each week will give Dad dedicated time to focus on the build while providing Miss I with someone of her own to play, explore and learn with.
Day-to-day care will include nappy changes, serving and tidying up after lunch, supporting Miss I’s usual routine and settling her for her afternoon nap. Her parents will often have lunch prepared, so the focus of the role is very much on spending quality, engaged time with Miss I.
The family are looking for someone experienced, caring and genuinely enthusiastic about working with young children. They would love a nanny who is playful and engaged, brings their own ideas and initiative to the role and can make Miss I feel safe, respected and included while bringing plenty of energy and fun to her days.
The family also have a Cavoodle who can be a little vocal when meeting someone new but quickly considers you part of the family and will happily request her share of cuddles!
