Permanent Position | Part-Time | Remuera

Ideal start date October 2026, negotiable depending on the candidate

Hours are approximately Monday 12.00pm to 7.00pm, Wednesday and Thursday 2.00pm to 7.00pm and Friday 3.00pm to 7.00pm, with a later finish approximately every 2 to 3 weeks.

A busy and lively household in Remuera are looking for an experienced nanny to step into a true mother’s help style role supporting Mum with four children and a new baby due in November. This role will suit someone who genuinely enjoys the energy of a larger family environment and is confident balancing fun, structure and the practical day-to-day flow of busy family life.

The children are Miss P (12 years), Mr O (6 years), Mr A (4 years) and Mr K (3 years). The boys are energetic, playful and love being outdoors, while also enjoying activities such as drawing, colouring, baking and construction play. Mr A is described as the more sensitive sibling, while the children overall are easy-going and social. The family are looking for someone who can be warm, engaging and silly with the children, while also being confident holding boundaries and managing behaviour calmly when needed.

Mum will generally be around during nanny hours, however there will also be times where she is out with some of the children or attending to the new baby, so the role requires someone proactive and capable who can confidently jump in and support where needed throughout the afternoon and evening routine.

The role itself is varied and hands-on, including helping with school and preschool pick-ups, after school activities, homework support, children’s dinners, tidying common areas, children’s laundry, changing beds and helping keep the household running smoothly day-to-day. A reliable vehicle and full clean drivers licence are essential.

The family value warmth, communication, initiative and someone who naturally becomes part of the rhythm of family life. They are hoping to find a nanny with strong childcare experience who enjoys building relationships with children and supporting both their learning and independence through everyday experiences.

This position will suit a capable and organised nanny who thrives in a busy household environment and enjoys the balance of practical support, childcare and genuine connection with children.
