Ideal start date 6 July 2026, negotiable for the right candidate.
Hours are Monday and Tuesday, starting at 7.00am with variable finish times depending on Mum’s roster. The family can guarantee a minimum average of 14 hours per week across each month, with the potential for the role to increase to approximately 25 to 30 hours per week from January 2027.
A lovely opportunity to work with a small family in Onehunga who are looking for a warm, calm and nurturing nanny to care for their daughter, Miss O (7 months). The family are hoping to find someone kind and dependable who can become a valued part of their little family over the long term.
Miss O is described as a happy, bright and curious little girl who loves getting out and about. She enjoys pram walks through Cornwall Park, attends a number of daytime activities and loves interacting with people and exploring the world around her.
The role will involve sole charge care including bottle feeds, play, supporting naps and creating fun and engaging experiences throughout the day. Miss O is currently transitioning from contact naps to cot naps and, once her routine is established, some light household support such as washing and preparing a simple evening meal would be appreciated while she sleeps.
Mum has varying finish times and may occasionally be home during nanny hours. Grandmother also spends part of the week with the family helping with childcare, creating a supportive and family-oriented environment. They also have a small, friendly cat.
The family are looking for someone who is genuinely caring, calm and empathetic and who enjoys building meaningful relationships with both children and parents. A nanny who has raised their own children or has extensive infant experience would be highly regarded.
This position will suit an experienced nanny who enjoys caring for babies, getting out and about in the community and becoming a trusted and consistent presence in a family’s life over time.
