Start date around 2 February 2027, with some flexibility
Hours:
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
7.00am to 5.30pm
(Approximately 31.5 hours per week) Wednesday to Friday are the preferred days, however there may be some flexibility for the right nanny.
Two families in Ellerslie are looking for a calm, kind and engaged nanny to care for their three children as part of a shared nanny arrangement. The role will be based from one family’s home and the families are hoping to find someone who can become a consistent part of their children’s lives for the longer term.
The children are Mr K (6), Mr M (3) and Miss B (2). Mr K is kind, empathetic and easygoing, with a love of animals, nature, Lego and science. Mr M is a loving and spirited three-year-old who also loves animals and the outdoors, along with reading and helping in the kitchen. Miss B loves books, playing with other children and follows a consistent daily routine and sleep schedule.
The nanny will begin the day at Mr K and Mr M’s home at 7.00am, helping with their morning routine. Miss B will be dropped off around 8.00 to 8.30am, before everyone heads out to take Mr K to school for an 8.45am start. His school is just a short walk from the family home, making school drop offs and pick ups an easy part of the daily routine.
During the school day, the nanny will care for Mr M and Miss B together. The families would love their days to include plenty of play, reading, outdoor adventures and opportunities to explore the children’s individual interests. They value learning through everyday experiences, developing social skills, kindness and inclusion, with minimal screen time.
Mr K will be collected from school at approximately 2.45pm and join the younger children for the afternoon. Miss B will generally be collected by her family at around 4.00pm, with the nanny then continuing the afternoon routine with Mr K and Mr M until their parents return home at approximately 5.30pm.
Day-to-day care will include supporting the children’s routines, preparing or heating simple meals and snacks and providing age-appropriate care throughout the day. Miss B is currently working towards toilet training and may still require a nappy for her daytime sleep.
Both families value a calm and loving approach alongside clear, consistent boundaries. They are looking for someone who will genuinely engage with the children, take an interest in the things they love and encourage their learning and development through play and everyday life. With both families hoping for a long-term arrangement, finding someone who can build strong and trusting relationships with all three children and work comfortably alongside both sets of parents will be especially important.
