Permanent Position | Part-Time | Hillcrest

Start date as soon as possible (flexible for the right candidate)

Hours are Tuesday 9.00am to 4.30pm (8.30am start negotiable) and Wednesday 8.00am to between 2.00pm and 4.00pm. Minimum 12 hours per week, with potential for occasional additional hours.

A lovely opportunity for an experienced nanny who enjoys building strong relationships with children and being a steady, reassuring presence in their day to support a thoughtful and well-organised family.

The children are Mr L (almost 3) and Mr B (approximately 16 months). Both boys are active, curious and engaged in the world around them, each with their own personality and way of responding to situations. The family place strong value on co-regulation, gentle boundaries and maintaining a calm, predictable environment.

The role will involve caring for both boys throughout the day, including supporting routines, preparing meals and snacks, managing naps and planning age appropriate activities. A key part of the role is balancing the needs of both children, particularly during transitions such as settling one child while engaging the other.

The family are looking for someone who is proactive and confident, with the ability to read situations early and guide the children in a calm, responsive way. This will suit a nanny who enjoys taking initiative and keeping the day flowing smoothly.

There is a strong focus on supporting developmental milestones and encouraging learning through play. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of early childhood development and enjoy creating activities that support curiosity, independence and emotional awareness.

Over time, the role may evolve as Mr L transitions into kindy, with a greater focus on care for Mr B and support around routines and outings such as playcentre and local activities.

Both parents work from home on alternating days.

The ideal candidate will be calm, capable and attentive, with strong experience in the 0–3 age group. Someone organised, safety conscious and confident managing a busy toddler environment will be well suited to this role.
